EnvyForensics (an Envyously service, provided by Cyber Risk Services) offers technical triage and forensic analysis of computers and related online accounts following a suspected tech-support or remote-access scam. Services are performed on a commercially reasonable, best-effort basis. We do not warrant that we will identify every remote-access tool or trace of compromise, or that a device will be free of all risk after our work. For certainty following a compromise, we recommend a full wipe and reinstall of the operating system.
You represent and warrant that you are the owner of, or are lawfully authorized to permit access to, the device(s) and online account(s) you ask us to examine, and you expressly authorize EnvyForensics to access, analyze, and collect data from them for the purpose of the requested service. You are responsible for backing up your own data before service. You will not ask us to access any system or account you are not entitled to access.
We do not guarantee the recovery of any funds, gift-card value, data, or accounts, and we are not responsible for losses caused by the scam itself, by prior compromise, by third parties, or by the actions of scammers or your financial institutions. Reporting to banks, card issuers, and law enforcement, and any disputes or claims, remain your responsibility.
We provide technical analysis and documentation only. We are not attorneys, financial advisors, or a law-enforcement agency, and nothing we provide is legal or financial advice. Any report we produce is provided to you for your own use; you are responsible for how it is used.
To perform the service we collect technical and, where relevant, personal data from the device and accounts. We treat this information as confidential, use it only to perform and document the service, and do not sell it. We may retain analysis artifacts and evidence for a reasonable period to support your reports and claims, after which they may be securely deleted. By purchasing, you consent to this handling.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, services are provided "as is," and EnvyForensics' total liability arising out of or related to the service is limited to the amount you paid for that service. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for data loss, business interruption, or losses caused by the underlying scam or third parties.
Payment is processed securely by Stripe. The triage fee covers work that begins promptly and is non-refundable once analysis has started. Higher-tier and subscription fees are governed by the terms presented at purchase. Subscriptions renew until cancelled.
We will never ask you for gift cards, wire transfers, cryptocurrency, remote access initiated by us out of the blue, or your passwords or one-time codes. Anyone doing so is not us.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
